This week's Friday Night Is Music Night (BBC Radio 2) was devoted to John Williams. But the BBC website has a page where you can highlight different sections of the orchestra and raise them in the mix. Three pieces are included: STAR WARS, JURASSIC PARK and JAWS. Quite fun:

Cool. Gives you a good example of how important good mixing is to the overall sound of a cue. When I scrolled over to the brass only it sounded like Amity High School Band!

Wow, that's a pretty nifty gizmo! And fascinating to just hear (mostly) one or two instruments in a piece I know so well, but never dissected in that way.
