Any insights on whether this is a possible or a "forget it, mate".
Cheers also : ESCAPE TO ATHENA.......... and both these scores are long overdue for CD releases together with with : CHARLEY VARRICK.........all 3 scores are very good and perhaps Intrada should get to work releasing these forgotten items........
That's THE BIG BRAWL, isn't it? I'd never heard a note of it until investigating right now on YT - there are a few tracks up from the old (rare?) LP. Just had a very superficial dip into it... Some bits sound pretty great (the ever-reliable octave-jumping double bass), other parts seem a little annoying (the whistling). 1980s Lalo was never as brilliant for me as '60s and '70s Lalo.
But I realise that that's not your question, Stephen. And I can't answer it. I've no idea about rights or licensing or anything. Would it sell? Don't know either. Music Box did release the "somewhat obscure" GOLDEN NEEDLES. I hope that sold well, because it's terrifically good Lalo.
Well, it probably wouldn't have to be more than a 1000 or 1200 number release, but as it's Lalo Schifrin, a popular composer, and a product that would appeal to Jackie Chan fans and fans of the Enter The Dragon score, I would think it would be at least as viable as any other 1000/1200 release.
