Yes indeed. That seems pretty obvious from your post. (See, Last Child? I'm not always contrary.)

Very good points, Morricone, and honestly I don't care if people want to speculate endlessly. I return to threads to see if anything new is there, and this one seemed a kind of astonishing example of idle spinning around when I was hoping for something more interesting.

There are millions of other forums on the net you can search out if this one isn't interesting smile

Turns out I'm not going to let this go.

I didn't say the thread wasn't interesting, I didn't say this forum wasn't interesting, I said, well, what you can read above. And I stand by it - after a while, these speculative threads about a release coming just hours away are a lot of sound and fury, signifying, well, what have you. And so I made a silly little statement reflecting that point of view.

Are those who have been taken aback by my gentle comment really suggesting that a criticism, however mild, is somehow not ok? That's the vibe I'm getting from Ron and DMD - that making a response contrary to the trend in a discussion is not an acceptable use of this message board - or at least needs to be called out as such? Especially coming from you, dmd, this seems an overreaction. Sure looks to me like a smiley-face version of "hey, if you don't like it here, you can go elsewhere."

By the way, I don't mind a bit people going after me for a comment I make - fair game. Just finding a hint of intolerance here that rankles.

I looked on Naxos, iTunes, and Amazon for the Our Town / Of Mice and Men recordings and didn't find them. Since they were digital, I assumed they would always be available but apparently not. I don't think I ever knew these existed until reading Yavar's note.

Still seemingly available here:
https://www.chandos.net/products/catalogue/ZH%200124
and in lossless even.

It's possible that under the slightly different rules in the U.K., these works are out of copyright and therefore legal to record. Naxos offers a lot of CD's in Europe that are not available in the US because of these differences.

I wonder if I would be allowed to order this from Chandos?

I'm in the U.S., just purchased it and am downloading as we speak. So take that for what's it worth.
