And people build their whole self esteem on whether or not a celebrity will "follow them". Then there's the drama if someone "unfriends" you. So everyone's personal business becomes everyone elses business. And no, I don't use Twitter or Facebook, but I see these phrase's online a lot.

Social media has turned the worlds population into groupies. Wannabe's trying to latch onto someone remotely famous or successful so they can feel good about themselves. Worse yet the hit on their psyche when they are ignored.
