MARVEL'S THE DEFENDERS---photo from the Netflix series shows the Defenders anid Sigourney Weaver as villain Alexandria who is described as, "Her character is a very powerful force in New York City. She's everything Sigourney is: sophisticated, intellectual, dangerous."
They forgot: "Well-connected daughter of a former industry figure who's benefited from Hollywood nepotism."
This looks like a must-avoid. Too bad because I really liked LUKE CAGE and s.1 of DAREDEVIL.
Why does this look like a bomb? Because, gentle readers, it is being produced by the clowns who did DAREDEVIL s.2. That's right, the Ninjas are back as villains.

That's really doing a disservice to Weaver, particularly since her career began when those of her parents were ending or over, and also since she's an outstanding actress whose success is well-earned. You make her sound undeserving.
The Defenders...where's Dr. Strange? The Hulk? Silver Surfer? THAT'S The Defenders I know, love, and remember!
Marvel is busy using the first two in movies - they'll both appear alongside Thor in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok - and Fox has the rights to the Silver Surfer through his close association with the Fantastic Four, to which Fox also has the rights (though who knows for how long, given how the last FF movie turned out - presumably Fox's rights will expire and revert to Marvel if Fox doesn't make another movie within X years, but I wonder whether they might just let that happen after taking a bath on the recent reboot attempt).
