HAN SOLO---Woody Harrelson was confirmed to be joining the cast by directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, “We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody. His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.” Harrelson will be playing young Han Solo's mentor.

THE WALKING DEAD---AMC released the synopsis and a photo for the second half of Season 2 which premiers on February 12.

"The first half of Season 7 saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group broken by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), forced to fall under his will and brutally convinced to live under his rules. The second half of the season will focus on preparing for war and gathering the supplies and numbers to take Negan down once and for all.
Rick’s group will find out yet again that the world isn’t what they thought it was. It’s much bigger than anything they’ve seen so far. While they have a singular purpose – to defeat Negan – it won’t come easy. More importantly, victory will require more than Alexandria. They need the numbers of the Kingdom and the Hilltop, but, similar to how Rick felt, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Gregory (Xander Berkeley) do not want bloodshed. To convince them otherwise will take more than speeches. The lengths Rick and the group will have to go to in order to find weapons, food and new fighters is nothing short of remarkable.
We’ll meet new survivors in incredible places. We’ll see Rick and the group tested in ways we’ve never seen before. We’ll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army."

WONDER WOMAN---a French magazine appeared to confirm the movie's villain is Ares, the god of war, "Why did Zeus create the Amazons? Because shaping man in his image made his son Ares, incidentally a god of war, mad with jealousy, he convinces the guys to confront each other. To restore harmony between them, Zeus created the Amazons that Ares reduced to slavery. The Amazons revolt with the help of Zeus, who will die of the hand of his son having had time to find Themyscira, their haven of peace where they will grow Diana." Speculation is that Danny Huston, seen in the trailer as a German officer, plays Ares.
The magazine summarized the plot, "Behind these scientific formulas, there is a deadly gas that could well annihilate humanity. Now, it turns out that this is precisely the goal of Ares, the god of war. He is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus (he was killed by Ares when he rebelled against his son, despite the help of the Amazons)…"
Chris Pine commented on his character, Steve Trevor, "I play a pilot who works for the Allies and spies on the Germans without their knowledge. My character steals a notebook filled with scientific formulas in an Ottoman base, he steals a plane but is shot down in the open sea."

THE WINDS OF WINTER---George RR Martin commented on when his seventh book will be released, "Not done yet, but I’ve made progress. But not as much as I hoped a year ago, when I thought to be done by now. I think it will be out this year. (But hey, I thought the same thing last year)."

ENTEBBE---Rosamund Pike, Daniel Bruhl and Vincent Cassel star in this movie about the 1976 Israeli raid to free airliner hostages in Entebbe, Uganda. Jose Padilha (ROBOCOP remake) is the director

CAPTIVE STATE---synopsis released for the sci fi movie directed by Rupert Wyatt (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES). John Goodman stars.

"Captive State is a sci-fi thriller set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after it has been occupied by an extraterrestrial force. Captive State uses a grounded sci-fi setting to shine light on the modern surveillance state and the threats to civil liberties and the role of dissent within an authoritarian society."

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR---Tom Holland confirmed Spider-Man is in the movie.

THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRAGGS---Joel and Ethan Coen Western anthology tv series underway. No plot details were released.
