You'll love it, Ed. Marvelous score. The primary themes are gorgeous and some of Scott's most heart-wrenching and soulful, and the dissonant "urban" music that offsets these moment is some of the most uncompromisingly brutal, mean, and ugly he's ever written. The juxtaposition of these two extremes is remarkable, but don't expect it to be thoroughly "easy" listening per se!

I was very disappointed when Varese re-released this, because this is one that really needs a complete presentation. The swirling flute motif heard at the beginning of "reconciliation" is a very prominent motif in the film itself for the little girl, and is used often and in some really affecting variations - Alas, it makes just one or two very short cameos here. Plus, it feels like the cues were slapped in just some random nonsensical order with no real sense of musical narrative, which is annoying and odd.

Still brilliant music regardless.
