Seems like the last time we got a great score for an Andrew Jackson project was Alfred Newman's work on THE PRESIDENT'S LADY starring Charlton Heston as Old Hickory.
However Heston did play Jackson again in THE BUCCANEER with a pretty great score by Elmer Bernstein.
Don't know who's around these days that could give it a nice treatment? Jerry Goldsmith would have been a wonderful choice if the Mini was done around the time he was doing great Mini's like QB VII and MASADA.
Is Bruce Broughton still working?
How bout get Danny Elfman on it! Loved how he scored Sean Penn in MILK! And his dramatic stuff ala SOMMERSBY is tops in my book.
