We hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season! 2016 was certainly an interesting year here at the triple L. X-Files and Big Trouble proved that no matter how many times a title is released there is always an audience for it. Trek and Super Heroes reigned supreme, but it took a smart ass teen, a wise-cracking cop, an adventurous boy always on a Quest and 2 dino sized adventures to put us over the top in 2016, making it our best 4th quarter ever!

With New Year's quickly approaching we thought we would give you a heads up on what LLL has brewing for the first of the new year:

On Jan 17, 2017 we have another edition to our long running Expanded Archival Collection:

TWISTER (20th Anniversary Edition)
Music by Mark Mancina
LLLCD 1412
Limited Edition of 3000 units
Retail Price: $19.98
Produced by Mike Matessino and Dan Goldwasser

La-La Land Records, Warner Music Group, Warner Bros. Pictures and Amblin Entertainment present TWISTER: EXPANDED ARCHIVAL EDITION. This 20th Anniversary Edition (a tad bit late) has been newly remastered and expanded by Producers Mike Matessino and Dan Goldwasser, fixing all errors from the previous release and making it the best possible listening experience this side of a F-1. Liner notes by Tim Greiving feature new interviews with composer Mark Mancina and director Jan De Bont. Dan Goldwasser helps guide you through his cow flyin' art direction!

What a great way to start 2017, great film and great score. Looking forward to this one.

What were the errors on the original release btw?

Assuming this doesn't have the rock bit from Wakita.

I think it was similar to X-Files Fight the Future where channels were mixed up?

Woo hoo! Another Holy Grail of mine. Thank so much for all your efforts. I sure this one had many hurdles to work around to make happen.

I remember seeing this at the cinema 20 years ago. Being a big Mancina fan (Speed, Bad Boys, Fair Game) I had great expextations to the score, but I never picked up the CD, I found it a bit too symphonic for my taste.

But nice to see another Mancina release on LLL, let's hope for releases of his UNreleased scores like Fair Game, Bait and Training Day.

What a great rollicking score. While I love the opening of the album it'll be interesting to see how it plays corrected. smile

About a year or two back I emailed MV asking him if this title was in the pipeline because I was about to drop a little bit of money for the OOP original score release. He had said they were trying and that was all. So I decided to pick up the album and wait anxiously for when this would finally pop up. AND FINALLY IT HAS! Thanks to everyone at LLL for once again releasing work from one of my favorite composers. Everyone here who follows my post knows I'm a 80s/90s scores guy and this one is definitely up there in my top ten or top fifteen. I have been waiting for this for a while. The original score album is a fine piece to own but some TLC from the LLL group is always welcomed. Thanks again guys.

This is great news! I love the original release and this will be even better!!

I wonder if the cue the segues into Humans Being will be presented in such a way that we'll be able to make our own edit.

Twister had less than fifty minutes of music in it? For a two hour disaster film? Man, that would never happen in these days of wall-to-wall scoring.

Yeah but a lot of that probably had to do with THE WIND BEING SO LOUD

90s blockbuster scores were quite wall-to-wall too, dont you think?

sometimes I think if some scores really need an expansion... but all your enthusiastic replies give me the answer: YESSS!!! smile (this is, what, 5 min longer than the original release?)

I wonder - will this be the only new release in January, or will there be another release (or two) on the 31st January?
