You can legally watch movies -- what they have to offer, that is -- at sites like: Youtube (as well as TV series) Hulu (as well as TV series; some may requrie HuluPlus) Amazon.com (as well as TV series) Netflix And various TV networks may offer some TV movies or films (as well as select series), such as NBC and CBS.

www.ffilms.org I like this site. Free movies, no commercials. So far they have had about 90% of the films I've asked for.

DailyMotion doesn't have legal content, as far as I know, and it's riddles horribly with ads, some infected from time-to-time. Hell, it had ads with audio that play at the same time as ads on the videos. And the ads are constantly refreshing. DailyMotion used to be a good place, it's a shithole now and I don't recommend anybody go there. Archive.org just archives stuff, so it's like finding movies unlawfully loaded to youtube.

Earlier today someone posted links to illegal sites. The mod deleted that one post instead of locking or deleting the whole thread because there are legal sites to watch stuff online. Youtube is a legal site and has always been considered a grey area. Exactly. FSM has never been okay with such activity. I should ad a correction, however, solium. Youtube is a legal site and has legal content, but users unlawfully upload content that is not legal. Studios are actively reporting it and getting the material yanked, but it's a loosing battle. I can understand they don't want to lose profit and wnat to enforce copyright, but for the life of me I don't understand what they stand to gain by reporting content you can't legally rent or purchase that only exist in some cases, because somebody got a copy and put it on youtube. Or reporting short clips, like ten seconds of a quote from some TV show; hell, that's free promotion -- promotion they didn't have to pay anybody to generate. And then of course the studios are rampantly not only reporting to legally threatening those who have legally used Fair Use in videos they made.

But that defense didn't work for Mega Upload which the FBI took down a few years ago. (or many other file sharing sites that claim they only offer a platform.) But it's my understanding YouTube made a deal with the studios giving them a percentage of profits from their website. They will even redirect individual channels profits right into the hands of the studios. Of course if there's a copyright claim they will take content down too. It's actually gotten out of control in reverse where the studios are claiming copyright infringement where there isn't any, so they can steal other ppls profits.
