Also, a source claims the ROGUE ONE cast includes Princess Leia played by Ingvild Deila (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON), Grand Moff Tarkin played by Guy Henry (HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS) and Rebel Alliance General Jan Dodonna played by Ian McElhinney (GAME OF THRONES).
Also, amidst rumors of Ewan McGregor starring in a future Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, director Gareth Edwards denied he has any inside information, but he said he would like to see a movie about Obi-Wan Kanobi, "I love all the stuff from the original Star Wars films, and the trilogy, so anything that went in there I would be excited about. There’s loads of rumors online, and actually, weirdly, working in Lucasfilm, you don’t know. People ask you, “Is this happening? Are they going to do this? Are they going to do that?”…and I don’t know...But I, as a fan looking on the internet, nothing to do with Lucasfilm, I kinda go, “Whoo, Obi-Wan Kenobi film, that’d be cool.”
WESTWORLD---executive producer Jonathan Nolan commented on if Robert Ford is really dead after being shot by Dolores, "Well, that version of Ford is dead." Asked if Anthony Hopkins is returning for Season 2, he replied, "I think with this show, you want to assume nothing."
Nolan said the physical apects of the hosts will be explored in Season 2, “Their construction and their power source is something we’re really going to get into during Season 2. So we’d like to keep that mysterious. They’re closer to biological than they are mechanical, but they don’t suffer brain death the same way we do. They’re largely indistinguishable from human beings, but their brains don’t require oxygen—which opens up interesting possibilities… [In] Season 2, we’ll be exploring more of the nuts and bolts of what they are—as the hosts themselves are trying to understand.”
Nolan said the series will go on hiatus (probably for 1 1/2 years) and will return in 2018, “Definitely not coming back until 2018. Look, we said to the network very early that this was a different kind of show, having gone through the experience of making the pilot.
GAME OF THRONES is incredibly ambitious, and that was part of the reason we knew we wanted to make this show with HBO. GAME OF THRONES kind of has written the book on production value for television, and how to make something that has all the scope and scale of cinema for a TV show. They also have an advantage of having [George R.R. Martin’s] amazing books, or had it for the first six seasons, which gives you a leg up."
He added, "So we said very early on that we wouldn’t be able to turn this around every year, and knowing full well that that’s been a time-honored tradition in television. But in film, my other life, on the Batman movies, the best we could do is turn another one around in three years. I really feel like we’re splitting the difference here."
WESTWORLD is the most-watched original series Season 1 in HBO history.
THE WALKING DEAD---Chandler Riggs commented on rumors that he is leaving the series after being accepted at Auburn University and his seven-year contract ending, “You never know how it will go. I really do hope it works out because that would be really cool. I like to be in THE WALKING DEAD and I like to play video games and just hang out with my friends and try to be as normal as possible so going to college would be another really cool, normal experience in my life. I want for it to work out.”
LAST TANGO IN PARIS---director Bernardo Bertolucci replied to the furor over the "non-consensual" rape of Maria Schneider by Marlon Brando in the 1972 movie,
"I would like, for the last time, to clear up a ridiculous misunderstanding that continues to generate press reports about LAST TANGO IN PARIS around the world. Several years ago at the Cinematheque Francaise someone asked me for details on the famous butter scene."
He added, "I specified, but perhaps I was not clear, that I decided with Marlon Brando not to inform Maria that we would have used butter. We wanted her spontaneous reaction to that improper [butter] use. That is where the misunderstanding lies."
"Somebody thought, and thinks that Maria had not been informed about the violence on her. That is false! Maria knew everything because she had read the script, where it was all described. The only novelty was the idea of the butter."
Bertolucci continued, "And that, as I learned many years later, offended Maria. Not the violence that she is subjected to in the scene, which was written in the screenplay."
GAME OF THRONES---a source said UFC fighter Conor McGregor is joining the cast, “It’s been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game of Thrones. He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2---Vin Diesel commented on possible spinoff movies, "I think if it’s up to James Gunn, you are going to see a Groot and Rocket movie after Infinity War. I think that’s highly possible. We shall see. I know that, somewhere in the universe, you are going to see Groot and Hulk battle. You can write it somewhere. You are going to see that poster: Hulk vs. Groot.”

The more of this Star Wars i see, the worse it looks (to me). The blind samurai schtick looks pretty bad, and is that a laser gun that can shoot 8 people? Oh dear.
Just one of you shoot him. Or all shoot at the same time. Please?
In another trailer there were stormtroopers being punched in the face by Felicity Jones. Does their armour offer any protection whatsoever. They may as well go skins.
It also looked like there were some dodgy cgi stormtroopers running up that beac, while i'm whinging about things (could have been my eyes).
TOP TIP: Stormtroopers! Laser weapons can be fired from a distance, so don't feel you have to run up to your intended target, who will then disarm and kill you.
I'll watch it for Ben Mendelshon though, who's ace in everything and hope it's good.
