I always think of him as Thomas Magnum's former (and corrupt) C.O. in the pilot of Magnum P.I. and the Professor renting a room in the horrifying episode of "Tales from the Darkside". them.

Actually he was renting out a room to a lovely college student. He doesn't kill her, and that's all I'm saying if you haven't seen the episode.

In the 1978 Richard Dreyfuss comedy-drama THE BIG FIX, John Lithgow plays "Oscar Procari, Jr.", a wealthy liberal who financed the legal defense of a group of 1960s radicals. Fritz Weaver plays Oscar’s father, conservative industrialist "Oscar Procari, Sr." Jeremy Paul Kagan directed the film, which has an unreleased score by Bill Conti.

Fritz Weaver appeared in one episode of the three-part television mini-series THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES. He played "Father Peregrine," who welcomes the aliens when they first appear on Earth. Michael Anderson (THE SHOES OF THE FISHERMAN) directed the film, which was based on a Ray Bradbury novel. Stanley Myers' score was released on a CD from The Airstrip One Company.

In director George Romero's 1982 horror anthology CREEPSHOW, Fritz Weaver played "Dex Stanley," a zoology professor who appears in the tale "The Crate." John Harrison's score was most recently released by La-La Land in 2014.

In Sidney Lumet's 1986 political drama POWER, Weaver played New Mexico gubernatorial candidate "Wallace Furman." Cy Coleman provided the unreleased score.

CITIZEN COHN was an HBO biopic of Roy Cohn, an American attorney who became famous during Senator Joseph McCarthy's investigations into Communist activity in the United States during the Second Red Scare. James Woods had the title role, and Fritz Weaver played Illinois Sen. Everett Dirksen, who had the support of Sen. McCarthy when Dirksen was first elected to the Senate in 1950. Frank Pierson directed the 1992 film. Thomas Newman provided the unreleased score.

In the 1999 remake of 1968's THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, Pierce Brosnan had the role of "Thomas Crown," played by Steve McQueen in the original. Fritz Weaver played a character new to the remake--"John Reynolds." John McTiernan directed the film. Fifteen minutes of Bill Conti's score appeared on the Ark21/Pangaea CD.
