Well I think The Searchers Blu-ray looks awful, too yellow & the flesh tones look really odd, also it looks too sharp to me, it looks really weird, I just can't watch it. I'm looking forward to watching One-Eyed Jacks, I just wish it had been a Universal & not a Criterion release, as then it would not have been region A locked, & would have been cheaper as well. I've heard a few folks say this about THE SEARCHERS, but it makes no sense to me at all, unless there are more than one Blu-ray release of the film, or your/their TV's color settings are messed up, or something else is at play. That aside, O-EJ will hopefully look better to you! Enjoy.

I don't think THE SEARCHERS looks awful on Blu-ray by any means, but it is an HD transfer now slightly over a decade old and it has certain problems. The movie now needs a modern 4K or 6K scan and digital restoration. I'd buy it again if that were done with improved results.
