Wow! That takes the concept of hoarding to a whole new level...
Or, I guess if you maintain, and dust it, it's a collection...
(I was intrigued to see if he had props from older films. A friend of mine has said he's often been an agent for Jackson's collection, and was in negotiations at one point to get the original puppet parts for the George Pal PUPPETOONS series. But I didn't see any of them in the photos.)
This was mentioned on the other side of the board. Think of the soundtracks and re-recordings these directors could fund with their wealth.
I noticed the BSG TOS Viper has a clear plastic canopy. I'm pretty sure ILM left canopies open so they didn't have to deal with reflections. So the prop is not screen accurate!
I wonder if he has The Rocketeer hero mask, or stunt mask?

Jackson made a deal with New Line Cinema so he could keep a lot of the stuff from the Lord of the Rings films. Props, costumes, models, etc. Pretty sure it's all stored away in a warehouse somewhere.
And yes, Jackson loves old stop motion models. He owns the armature for the original King Kong stop motion figure. The "skin and fur" no longer exists.
