And with the internet 'sponge' there simply is no waiting around for the next information tid-bit to come along - the digital tinderbox requires regular burnings for that inner glow to be passed around for shared warmth and worldly comfort. Just pointing out that the originator of this topic chose to insinuate a significant social issue (albeit a showbiz issue) on a music and album forum, and didn't even have the grace to put it in the Non-Film Score Discussion. And yes, I think the tabloid obsessives among the forum members will somehow claim it is a film score or film score album related issue, though it clearly isn't. This just smells like one of the manufactured controversies that well-meaning people are so easily diverted by. Did you not notice that this topic was started fourteen years ago? And that the originator of the thread discussed only film music in the opening post? And that the thread title insinuates nothing more than that Weinstein is an artistic (film music) tamperer? And that Weinstein's sexual "tabloid peccadillos"(!) were not even brought up until the thread was bumped yesterday? Who knew he was a perv on top of that? Actually scratch that. I wonder what might be the impact on the (would-be?) Gotham-based Justice League member now that he and a few others have had to come up for air in the apparently-expanding cesspool after new revelations. I wouldn't be surprised if come next year, the Academy has some special recognition for the women for coming forward, and they are to be commended. I really admire those women who refused the advances of HW (and other powerful people) and likely saw their careers squashed or at least negatively impacted (I am not implying that the victims were willing participants). I know I have contributed to the sidetracking of this thread, but both issues discussed here have been about the unethical behavior of the subject of this thread. Shame on them all. Agreed. Everyone knew about this man's perversions but looked the other way because he made them money. They even joked about his sexual predations and called him by name in episodic TV series.
