Well I be damned! Good to see this coming to BluRay. Though I thought I read there was some mastering issues that prevented it from getting an HD transfer?

Finally! Here's hoping it's a decent looking Blu-ray.

I hope it's a good transfer. Probably coming to cash in on the new TV show so I hope the beancounters didn't decide to skimp on the BD presentation.

I've seen a 720 version that was on broadcast television. The very first scene in the fog was extremely grainy and looked terrible, but once it got into good indoor or outdoor lighting the picture quality was crisp and vivid.

Hopefully. Here's what Warner Film Archive had to say earlier this year:

"It's under consideration for Blu-ray release, but will require a full remaster. The source used for broadcast does not meet the quality standards requisite for Blu. Thanks."

As long as it's not Twilight Time I'll be happy.

Funny, I'm watching this on TCM right now. Print in widescreen, looks very good, very clear.

Mary Steenburgen is wonderful.

As long as it's not Twilight Time I'll be happy.

With Twilight Time, we'd be getting the complete score in stereo.

With Twilight Time, we'd be getting intelligent commentary.

FSM already gave us that.

With Twilight Time, we'd be getting intelligent commentary.

Nicholas Meyer did the commentary. It's going to be great.

Without Twilight Time, there won't be a $30 price tag.

This is a buy for me, unless it's too expensive.

I'm glad I held off on the DVD, despite my long-time impression that a Blu-ray wasn't likely. It's nice when you don't even have to double-dip.

This one'll be a delight to pick up. Good thing the color correction hasn't been overdone, as the smallest splashes of color in this movie (like prism effects or bloody white cotton gloves) have a great effect. Can't wait.
