An actress I met in College Theatre and who I dated for a few years, introduced me to the music of Lee Holdridge and recommended his THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN Part 2 for my listening pleasure. Thank you dear Claire. Rest in Peace sweet Angel. I will always think of her when I hear Lee's beautiful score.

Tompall and The Glaser Brothers were an American country music group composed of three brothers: Chuck, Jim, and Tompall Glaser. In 1957, the trio got their big break when they appeared on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Show and attracted the attention of several well known country stars, including Marty Robbins. Marty quickly signed them as backup singers on his albums and as solo artists on his record label. The brothers' first single, "Five Penny Nickel," was released in 1958 on Robbin's Records.

Between 1960 and 1969, the trio released six albums. In 1970, they were asked to write songs for the MGM film ...TICK...TICK...TICK, about a man (Jim Brown) who is elected the first black sheriff of Colusa County, Mississippi, and comes up against the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan. While Jerry Styner provided some background music for the film, the MGM soundtrack LP was comprised entirely of songs by Tompall & the Glaser Brothers. The LP has never had a CD release. This track, "Where Has All The Love Gone," written by Chuck Glaser, has a Roy Orbison/Marty Robbins feel to it:
