REDWOOD---trailer released for the vampire movie starring Nicholas Brendon (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) and Mike Beckingham, brother of Simon Pegg.

TOP GUN 2---Tom Cruise commented on the sequel's status, “Well, we’re working on it. We’re trying to figure it out.” When asked about the original cast returning, he replied, “Goose won’t be coming back unfortunately… sorry.” The plot is rumored to have Maverick involved in the competition between manned fighters and drone fighters.
INDEPENDENCE DAY---Roland Emmerich said he's not sure about the future of the movie franchise, but confirmed that a tv series is being discussed.
CBS---cancelled BRAINDEAD and AMERICAN GOTHIC. The network gave full season orders for MacGYVER, KEVIN CAN WAIT and BULL.
TRACY MORGAN---Morgan stars in this untitled TBS sitcom about a black man who is released from prison after 15 years and returns to Brooklyn where his girlfriend has married a successful white man. They are raising his twin sons he didn't know about. He resorts to skills he learned in prison to cope with life on the outside.
GERALD'S GAME---Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood will star in this Netflix movie based on the Stephen King novel about bondage that goes awry.
MOLLY'S GAME---Kevin Costner is in talks to co-star with Jessica Chastain in this movie based on Molly Bloom's memoir about her underground, high-stakes poker game for Hollywood stars, business leaders, sports stars and the Russian mob.
JUMPER---new YouTube Red series, titled IMPULSE, which will be a sequel to the 2008 movie that starred Hayden Christensen. IMPULSE is based on the third novel of the series and focuses on David's daughter. Doug Liman returns to direct the pilot.
YouTube Red also picked up LIFELINE in which an insurance company sends its agents 33 days into the future to prevent their clients from accidentally dying. Dwayne Johnson is the producer.
STINGRAY---Jon Bernthal (THE WALKING DEAD) stars in this movie about a man who accidentally kills a mobster's brother and must make amends by killing a member of his own family.
MULAN---Alex Graves (GAME OF THRONES) will direct the Sony Pictures movie. Walt Disney Pictures is also developing a remake of its animated movie.
CAPTAIN PLANET---live-action movie underway based on the TBS animated series. Leonardo DiCaprio is the producer.
SKY HIGH---director Mike Mitchell said a sequel to the 2005 Walt Disney Pictures movie is being considered. Kurt Russell, Bruce Campbell and Lynda Carter starred in the original movie.
CROSSFIRE---movie underway based on the shooter game. Chuck Hogan (13 HOURS, THE TOWN) will write the script.
PADDINGTON 2---Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson have joined the sequel cast.
CANDY CRUSH---CBS game show underway based on the mobile game.
