I can't think of a single example myself, but I became musically aware just as LP's were on the wane, so I never had that kind of exposure to the medium. My dad has a superb, highend HiFi system and turntable, and I've heard some wonderful vinyl sounds on that (the old adage "it's different, but not necessarily worse than CD").
