But for which series? The original from the 60's, or the remake from the 90's, or both?

As Joe said:

"Fifty-two years ago, the music on a certain TV show raised goosebumps on a little boy’s arms, and sent him on a Quest to hear it again. Twenty years ago, I begin designing soundtrack CDs with producers Lukas Kendall, Taylor White, Michael V Gerhard and Matt Verboys, and writers Jon Burlingame and Jeff Bond. Tomorrow, that Quest will be completed. Thanks fellas, my job here is done!"

More animation soundtracks is always exciting - can't wait to hear more about this one!

So very cool!

Now you know why I've been in this business for 20 years --- and why I chose this avatar! (Unfortunately, now I look more like Rusty Venture than Benton Quest.)

I hope that the image on one of the discs is the giant eyeball spider.

The mummy motif in the Anubis episode has been scaring the crap out of me for nearly 50 years now.
Can't wait to have it for my own.

FANTASTIC! Some of the best and most exciting music ever written for an animated series, and played by first-class musicians.

Was any music from Johnny Quest later used in The Herculoids?

Yes, pretty sure some Quest cues wound up in some of the later H/B action shows.

Jeff - another question.
Does each episode have original score, or some episodes was with "library" music?
I ask this 'cause I'd like to understand how many CDs this set could contain smile

Wikipedia claims that to be the case - though of course no source is referenced.

So, who is the composer of this music? What size were the original orchestras, and is this stuff in stereo? And how much of it is there?

Yes, some of the JQ music was used in later episodes of The Flintstones and The Jetsons as well as the Herculoids, Frankestein Jr., Space Ghost et al.

When I see the names Michael V. Gerhard and Matt Verboys, I think La La Land Records.
