MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
PASSENGERS---Sony Pictures released a new photo from the sci fi movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.
THOR: RAGNAROK---Sam Neill confirmed he reunited with his JURASSIC PARK co-star, Jeff Goldblum, in RAGNAROK, “I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here. If I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents — and they are lethal — will come and get me and probably my children, as well.”
Neill also gave a tongue-in-cheek comment about returning for JURASSIC WORLD 2, “I think the problem is that no one knows where Alan Grant is anymore. He’s retired from paleontology. He’s sick to death of dinosaurs and running. He’s not quite as fleet of foot as he was, and he’s now retired to Dayton, Ohio, and has a very successful accountancy business. I think that’s what’s happened to Alan. Either that or he’s dead.”
WONDER WOMAN---photo leaked from an upcoming trailer shows Wonder Woman battling a German soldier.
HALLOWEEN---John Carpenter commented on Rob Zombie, who directed the 2007 remake, "So they interviewed him on that Biography Channel. And he lied about me. He said I was very cold to him when he told me he was going to make it. Nothing could be further from the truth."
He added, "I said 'make it your own movie man,' you know. 'This is yours now, don't worry about me.' I was incredibly supportive. Why that piece of s**t lied, I don't know. He had no reason to. Why did he do it?"
TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT---Michael Bay replied to a furor in which a scene from the sequel shows Nazi flags at Blenheim Place, Winston Churchill's childhood home, “There’s a thing I saw in the paper about Blenheim, and I just want to say that people were not fortunate enough to read the script. They don’t know that Churchill, in this movie, is a big hero and Churchill would be smiling about last night.”
Speculation is that Adolf Hitler is a villain and Anthony Hopkins will play Churchill in the sequel.
ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY---Valene Kane (THE FALL) confirmed she will play Jyn Erso's mother in ROGUE ONE, “I grew up watching STAR WARS and I didn’t believe it was happening until I was filming in Iceland. It has a really edgy independent vibe.”
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR---Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed Doctor Strange will appear in the movie.
Also, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said Stan Lee's cameo appearances, “A couple of months ago in Atlanta, he flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home.”
THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO---Rooney Mara commented on returning for a possible sequel, “Yes, I’m still open to it but I’m not holding out hope any more.”
SUPERIOR---Mark Millar posted that he wants John Cena to star in the 20th Century Fox movie based on his comic book, "Just watched @amyschumer'sTrainwreck & it's my fave comedy in YEARS. @JohnCena so funny in it I literally just requested him for SUPERIOR."
PETER RABBIT---Daisy Ridley has joined the cast of Rose Byrne and James Corden in the Sony Pictures live action/CGI movie.
FRAMED---Julia Roberts will star in this movie based on the true story of a PTA president who was framed for drug possession by the lawyer parents of an elementary school student.
