Absolutely. To Kill a Mockingbird, L'Adolscente (Sarde), Brideshead Revisited (Burgon), Castillos de Carton (Gaigne), The Dove, The Sailor who fell from grace with the sea, all typical summer scores. For hot sunny afternoons. Typical winter: Nicholas and Alexandra, l'alpin l'e sempre quel (Nicolai), The Lion in Winter (I can't help it, I know winter is in the title, but it's the music that makes me think of images of medieval castles in the snow). In springtime I play Civilta del Mediterraneo (Nicolai) on the first warm and sunny day after winter. For some reason on autumn mornings, perhaps a bit overcast or foggy, I play 'Reconnaisances', a Marie Laforet album that I have. So yeah, just a few examples of music I associate with certain seasons.

Yes, very, very much. One thing that's even more curious: I often find myself pulling albums in the same month I have purchased them. This is not happening deliberately - just an odd trick by the subconsciousness that makes me remember things at time of the year I first was "confronted" with them...

I"ve thought on this occasionally too. But although theres a sort of pattern, it"s not logical in terms of imagery. For example I tend to have a Jerome Moross rush every spring, and a 'mediaeval' thing around December. Maybe the latter is to do with Xmas carol conditioning or something, but the former is visceral. There's no connection as far as I can identify with 'autumnal/vernal' musical metaphors directly.

Sort of yeah. The Village, Black Beauty, Alien 3, The 13th Warrior and Jennifer 8 are scores that get played most during autumn. Edward Scissorhands, In Dreams, the first two Harry Potter scores, Die Hard 2, Urban Legends 2 and Chain Reaction are definitely winter scores K-Pax, Heat, Gladiator, Leon and The Beach (soundtrack not score) I like to listen to in the spring Die Hard with a Vengeance, Speed, Predator 2, The Mummy get played most in the summer
