Is this simply not the most badass track ever? Sure, it is kind of a knock-off of "The Sidewinder," but who cares?

Bad-ass, really? This is the type of (now dated) source cut I would usually skip over. But, to each their own.

I actually have a source cut on Lai's RIDER ON THE RAIN that does it for me--"Theme Bestial."

I love source tracks like this. I sometimes combine them together in play lists. Love playing them during cookouts or just on nice summer evenings.

Pretty cool track, yeah. In fact, for many of these 60s soundtrack albums with a jazz bent, the source cues are often the HIGHLIGHT of the whole thing.

Quality stuff indeed, Onya. Thanks for sharing.

Here's some Schifrin-related goodness that never fails to thrill me. This is a Schifrin arrangement of a Dizzy original, with Schifrin on piano. Awesome stuff.

Hardly dated at all. Grooves such as this have been routinely sampled in acid jazz, loungecore, and related genres of electronica since the mid-1990s, if not earlier, and continue to be sampled.
