Cool! Beyond Zhao Jiping and Tan Dun, my knowledge of Chinese film composers is limited (I consider Hong Kong something different altogether). But Qigang Chen's THE FLOWERS OF WAR is one of the most beautiful scores composed in the last decade, so there's always someone new appearing on my radar.

This compilation looks interesting.

I produced 2 cds of Chinese Film Music for Silva Screen and Rock Records of Taiwan....so I presume this will be an expanded edition of these...

I have the 'Farewell My Concubine' one. It's pretty good. Might be worth the upgrade to two CDs, I suppose...
