Big fight Saturday night in London I'm going to it anyone seen this Golovkin hit/punch, I think Brook will be running clinching to survive in this fight. any of you fans of boxing just find it better than other sports like football, American football, basketball, cricket, boring fluff, what's your verdict/prediction anyway on Saturday night. thanks.

I forgot your all football fans, done with that years ago, when they dive cheat and act like they've been smashed by a heavy weight boxer, the fun has gone from football, I follow Chelsea on there results but don't watch them much anymore.

Golovkin by KO, 6th round. Nobody gets past Triple-G's hands of stone.

Dana what do you reckon on the Kovalev vs Ward fight I think a stoppage for Kovalev in mid rounds 6-8, bad mistake Ward made there taking this fight he don't hit hard enough and then getting cocky at the press conference kovalev went to shake Wards hand and he just turned his head and walked off started muttering some things, kovalev said he's going all out to punish Ward and then stop him. It will be a better fight than Golovkin Brook.

Love boxing.

As a Brit I want Brook to win but he's going up in weight to meet GGG, the man is a warrior and will give his best but I don't expect him to win. GGG by KO in rnd 6, 7 or 8.

Don't underestimate Ward. No prediction on this one, both are formidable. Should be a great fight!

I box myself so I alway's do research on fights and what they've done from an early stage in career especially amateur days, I remember ward in the semi final match at the Olympics 2004 he lost that match, I've watched it loads of times he was knocked down twice in that fight and he's been knocked down in the pro ranks, I just don't think ward hits hard enough to bother kovalev also he is much the busier boxer vs Ward. Ward hits those pot shots if he fights like that as he did against Brand he will be battered. thanks both for your opinions.

I agree with you on Ward though I think this one may go the distance.

I've always been pretty good on my fight predictions, I just wish I'd have put money on Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson back in 1990, the odds were something like 40/1, I obviously couldn't have had enough conviction in my belief to stick £10 on it, I'd read all the gumph beforehand and knew how seriously Buster was taking it whereas Tyson thought all he needed to do was show up ( yes, I know there was more to it than it being that simple ), I just felt it in my gut that Tyson was headed for a fall and all my friends who were boxing fans mocked me for backing a "no hoper". wink

1 thing that let Tyson down was Don King, Kevin Rooney trainer to Tyson & a very good trainer, told Tyson that don king was no good because king wanted to lure Tyson away from the Cus D'Amato stable of boxing, Rooney said no and then Rooney was fired, after Tyson got a new trainer his skills become less and his aggressiveness didn't seem all there, limited head movement and very sluggish around the ring after Rooney went then his 1st loss with his new trainer king and Co lead Tyson to doom. take nothing away from Douglas he fought the right fight jabbing then slugging, but I reckon if Tyson would of stuck with Rooney his 0 would of remained a lot longer, and no prison rape too, to many drunken nights out drugs pop pimps hoe's, Cus 'D'Amato and Rooney wouldn't tolerate that.

I'm not a fan of Tyson all way's preferred Lennox over Tyson prime or not Lewis had Tyson's number in any lifetime.

I'm sure plenty of people would disagree but I'm with you there, Tyson had problems with really tall boxers.

Its hell of a lot safer all these fighters are well protected today Rory. I was watching Stanley Ketchel vs Jack Johnson, ketchel's teeth were embedded in Johnson's glove. Also Jack Dempsey vs Jess Willard, Jess took a terrible beating his face looked like a squashed pizza. Enjoy the big-fight Saturday night.

Very good fight last night got my monies worth I didn't expect Brook to slug like that he went in with the wrong game plan you cannot out muscle Golovkin very exciting fight though some of the crowd didn't think so though brook had his eye socket smashed broke + his health and the crowd wanted more a lot of booing, it was the right decision to throw the towel fight another day, any longer that eye could of been permanent damage beyond repair operation. very brave showing from Brook fought very well any one else he would of probably beat last night with them shots he threw bombs Golovkin takes a shot very well he's like a machine.

Watching it on tv at home, it did seem at the time to be a premature surrender -- the damage to Brook's eye which you were able to observe at close hand in person was not really apparent on the tube. I'm not glad to hear about the damage, but I am glad to know that the stoppage was a correct call and not some kind of faint-hearted bail-out. While Brook was obviously being hit, it seemed at the time that he was frustrating Golovkin to a degree and was getting in some good shots himself. I've seen quite a few of GGG's fight and to me this was his toughest fight to date. Congratulations to Brook on a courageous and worthy effort.

yes it was unfortunate what happened to Brooks eye but there not in there to cuddle each other & Brook did get 4-5 million +. 1-2 million pay per view money. Hopefully the operation will be a success because I remember when Manny Pacquiao fought Antonio Margarito, it was the same injury a broken socket, Margarito was never the same after that and hits to his eye flairs up easy now. Hopefully not for brook but there's all way's that chance if Brook can't defend his-self better, All these fighters will have a blue print on that eye now.

Should be A good Boxing match this Saturday night Andre Ward better be at his best for 12 rounds. 1 sloppy mistake it could all be over knocked out, I'll go Kovalev in rounds 8-9 for the knock-out. good-fight all don't miss it.
