As I have posted many times in the past, I would buy it for the "swordfight" cue alone (which, of course, would never have been included on the commercial RCA release.)

And where is A SHOT IN THE DARK??? Quartet posted in December of 2014: Mono tapes with the original recordings of A Shot in the Dark are vaulted at the Mancini Estate, but the rights are holder[held] by Sony Music on[in] perpetuity. Maybe La-La Land or Intrada can do something with this. I hope so!

Maybe coming for its 52nd anniversary (as opposed to its originally planned 50th anniversary release in 2015)

Maybe coming for its 52nd anniversary (as opposed to its originally planned 50th anniversary release in 2015) Not that you necessarily know or can say right now, but did Natalie record Sweetheart Tree at all, or was it always planned to be dubbed? (Also, Hooray!)

Amazing variety on that score - a blueprint for comedy scoring! Arguably one of the best ever, purely on the quality and quantity of its different themes, from the pie in face polka and good night sweet prince and the shouldna oughtna etc, sweetheart tree, push the button max etc etc.

Maybe the estate has "The Great Race" tapes also. "A Shot In The Dark" music was published by Mancini's company "Twin-Chris Music Corporation". The estate probably still owns the copyright but not the recordings. Too bad something hasn't been worked out on this title.
