Interesting that they put Mitchum's picture first when he was probably only in the movie for half a minute as a supporting player.

Imdb doesn't show any release date for Japan, but I guess that movie must have been released years later (for obvious sensitive reasons...) and, at the time it got released, Bob Mitchum was already a star.

I still lose it (I mean watch it by myself so no one sees me blubbering lose it) during the scene when the elderly Chinese gentleman gives Lawson the ”Thank You” gift pair of cotton-soled shoes then feels remorse that Lawson only has one leg. Dang, I even get choked up writing about it!
