Does anyone have both the FSM CD and the La La Land CD of this score? And if so, is there a real difference in the La La Land remastered sound?

It's absolutely worth the upgrade. The LLL is a vast improvement in sound quality.

That's an understatement!

The FSM CD was mono. The LLL Cd is a complete stereo restoration sounding almost as good as if it were recorded yesterday -- if yesterday they still recorded in analog.

Anyway, vast improvement indeed. I listen to it often.

No, the FSM CD is in true stereo from the 1/4" masters. I'm a little torn between the two releases. The Lala has exquisite detail and clarity. But I prefer the mix on the FSM release.

I always pick the LaLa to play because it is superior. Can't believe the FSM edition is selling for $180 are people nuts? maybe not aware of the LaLa??

Also they used an entirely different and a better source for the LLL reissue. So its a much better and less shrill sounding than the FSM mix.

Something to ponder. I think I'll hang on to both which I rarely do, but this being Jerry, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Sorry, I was confused. I was thinking RIO CONCHOS.

Anyway, I bought neither FSM CDs and I'm glad I didn't because what's come since is better.

Really robust sound on this release. Well worth purchasing
