Dear FSM members,
Let me introduce to you The Film Music MIDI Group.
Here is what Description on Facebook says:
“The Film Music MIDI Group is a group for those interested in the reconstructions, midi-mock-ups and re-recordings of classic Film Music (both MIDI and real).
Please DO post links to film music MIDI reconstructions, mock-ups, recordings and performances that you have created (e.g. using sample libraries and/or live performances) but links to any well produced film music reconstructions and officially released re-recordings of interest are acceptable too.
Please DO post links to any Films and their scores that you feel are worthy contenders for reconstructions and/or re-recordings (discussion of the copyright status of the music, sheet music/soundtrack availability and Copyright holder contact information etc is encouraged here).
Please DO NOT just post random links to your favourite Film Music tracks unless they are related to the group. There are plenty of other Film Music groups on Facebook purely for celebrating the Art of Film Music.
The aim of this group, is to meet like-minded Film Music fans interested in, and/or actively involved in film music reconstructions and/or new recordings of Classic Film Scores. Ultimately, I hope to create a group of Film Music fans, composers and arrangers, who might be interested in working, as a team, on the re-construction of a complete unreleased soundtrack (to be chosen in the future). At first, this would take the form of MIDI mock-ups and sample library reconstructions, but might even develop into a real orchestral recording and/or CD release in the future. Who knows?
P.S. Please DO NOT swear or be abusive to other members in the group. Please DO though, invite any other friends you feel might be interested in this group.

Hi Aleksandar - I've been following this on and off for a while, thanks to the invitation from one of the old original Hammerheads (as we called ourselves). One's initial, uneducated reaction (before investigating) might be, "Bah, synths", but that would be a huge disservice to those involved, such as yourself. I'm trying not to be a Facebook junkie, so I don't post many comments there, but I was following the amazingly detailed reconstruction - by Gaetano - of THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, and have been thoroughly impressed by the amount of thought and creative effort behind those things.
