Never really took this score very seriously, being a low budget electronic garage production (so to speak), but after giving it a serious listen, it's pretty damn effective. Written in 3 days (and sounding like it), it does a great job, Morricone-style. True story: the very first time I saw Halloween I rented it and started it on the VCR. Unbeknownst to me, the sound was muted on the TV. 15 minutes in, my wife and I thought it was totally brilliant that this whole first murder sequence was done in complete silence. Try it. It's pretty intense as a modern art-thriller, especially as it's POV in that first part. It really makes you think that this guy is a total void. Having said that, the score is perfect of the 70s.

Enjoying the 20th Anniversary edition of the soundtrack whilst reading the cue-by-cue. Great work!
