The only thing that the American posters ever said (including the one most equivalent to the German poster above) was what was on the film prints themselves--"Produced in Todd-AO." This statement would be true whether one was watching a 70mm print or a 35mm print. But the actual 35mm prints that were extracted from the 65mm negative would, of course, have been released in an anamorphic format identical to a film that was shot in Panavision. I suppose that a "Panavision" credit on the ad is as good a way as any to let the audience know that they were going to view a 35mm print rather than a 70mm print that the "Produced in Todd-AO" credit might erroneously lead some to believe.
