This from EW: http://www.ew.com/article/2016/06/28/westworld-interview
"Only this time, you’ll find yourself sympathizing with the sentient bots who are slave-laboring under the creepily apathetic gaze of Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins)."

Sigh

Looks like an HBO show.

Talk about dying with your reboots on.

I wouldn't have a problem with a series shown from the bots' perspective, but please don't call it "Westworld".

Looking forward to more gratuitous sex and graphic violence. Not really.

I'm getting annoyed at RINO (Reboot In Name Only) films that bear little to no resemblance to the originals. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of reboots that were even remotely as enjoyable as their progenitors.

Exactly. Westworld is a fine little potboiler all by itself. Very sly and inventive, it pioneered some computer effects and was the pretty much the first time computer viruses were mentioned in the mainstream. It is still entertaining today.

All of this "we completely re-imagined it" stuff is annoying.

Don't call it Westworld.

Agreed. It could be a good and intriguing series, but lose the whole Westworld connection.
I'm sure most kids today hardly remember the old Yul Brynner film, so call it something punning like FANTASY A.I.LAND and see what happens. If it's good enough or interesting enough, it would survive in its own right.

It looks, from what I can tell, to at least be well photographed, especially in the outdoor stuff on western locations. I can't knock that. Kind of looking forward to this, but with caution.

The blood turned me off, truly. I don't know that I'll watch season 2.

Otherwise I enjoyed seeing women get far-more-than-decorative roles, here.

Too bad the only gay man turns out a perv.
