Haslinger takes over after tomandandy who scored the two last Resident Evil films for director Paul WS Anderson. Haslinger has worked with Anderson on Death Race and The Three Musketeers.

Big fan of Paul W.S. Anderson here, and although the RESIDENT EVIL films have been uneven, when it's been good, it's been really good. And over the course of the films, they've managed to build quite a large fictional universe.

I've yet to hear a Haslinger score that I really like; I'm kinda hoping he does less sound design/horror stuff, and more drama or scores that require melodies.

Haslinger was surely more interesting when he was with TD, but he has his moments as solo composer too.

Some examples:
Sleeper Cell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rXDjuQGOTM

Takers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK_QiCydbI0

Blue Crush: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzeGPcwhKw4

Halt And Catch Fire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oBqkZBRaLE

His most TD-like score though, was Pointman from 1994, his first solo-score, but he doesn't like to be reminded of that one...
