"Unforunately the music to The Order will most likely not be released due to the tapes being heavily damaged due to unforseen problems in the post-production."
Perhaps that can now be rectified.
"Race With the Devil" (Leonard Rosenman) is supposed to be damaged beyond repair, but that comment was a long time ago and technology has improved greatly; maybe something can now be salvaged.
Perhaps the "How To Steal A Million" film tracks? I could be mis-remembering, though. Just a guess.
And weren't there a few of the "100 Rifles" tracks that had been damaged (or perhaps missing) in stereo, so were on that CD in mono only? Again, may be my fading memory....
Man, this is tougher than I thought.
A little off-the-topic: I assume if John Williams's "Dracula" is ever expanded to include the film tracks, it will fit into this category and they will be in mono because of damaged stereo tapes. Not that I wouldn't still get it --- any chance to have that complete score on CD is better than none.
I'd buy those in an instant, but I thought all pre-1974 John Barry was missing.
Nothing really mentioned in the liner notes about the status of tapes for Monte Walsh but I'd sure love an upgrade to this John Barry score if the stereo tapes were ever located.

What's missing is all JB's personal written scores and tapes, lost in transit.
Anything held in a studio vault still survives.
The problem with a lot of early Barry is it was for small independent film companies that didn't have perpetual storage and no longer exist, so it's hit and miss what can be found.

"The disc has been mastered from mono reel-to-reel elements located at the CBS Inc. Collection, courtesy of UCLA Music Library Special Collections, in clean and vibrant sound; track 24 is in stereo."
I'd hear rumours about stereo tapes but that was probably apocryphal.
