Disney's new Shanghai Disneyland theme park just opened, and with it came a new take on the classic "Peter Pan's Flight" dark ride. I was pretty stoked to hear Joel McNeely's Never Land theme show up as part of the ride audio on this ride-through video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUpJUz9vo2A
I'm not as familiar with his Tinker Bell scores, so I can't say whether or not any of those themes pop up, as well. McNeely's website says he's been working on theme park scores ( http://www.joelmcneely.com/news/ ) so it seems likely he's behind this! As a big fan of his "Return to Never Land", I'm thrilled to see it get such treatment, integrated right in with the classic.
(I haven't been on the Disneyland / Disney World versions in years and years, so I have no idea if they already reflect this, and if this is in fact old news. But it was new to me!)
Sounds like a new recording based off of existing themes. There maybe a new theme or two in there. Great ride. Disney sure knows how to make a magical experience.
