i loved Green Lantern comics years ago. Hal Jordan was a great character. There's so much they could do with this to make it loads of fun. George Miller would be a great choice, i think. But the whole DC film universe has been pretty awful so far (for me). Not sure who the Green Lantern is in the comics these days but maybe they'd go with him. There are so many Lanterns i guess they could afford to go with any of any age, race, sex. I'd like a Karl Urban or Kurt Russell Hal Jordan or a Sam Rockwell Guy Gardner.

There are a few GLs flying around right now, and they are featured in two main books. There is Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps., which obviously features Hal, as well as many other members of the GL Corps. It takes place away from Earth. The other book is Green Lanterns, which features two relatively new GLs working together to protect Earth. The set up is two GLs who don't necessarily like each other partnered up, and they have to get past their differences and work together. Both books are brand new, so the concepts will undoubtedly evolve depending on how the readership responds and how stable the creative teams are on the books. As for the movie, we will see. After believing a Martin Campbell directed Green Lantern movie would be great, I am skeptical about the quality of the upcoming film, regardless of who is involved.

Are you aware George Miller was going to direct Justice League: Mortal back in '08-'09? The cast was in place: Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord, and Hugh Keays-Byrne (yes, Toecutter/Immortan Joe) as Martian Manhunter. The writers' strike derailed the project. Yeah I am also aware that he did not. Well, I'm glad you're able to discern that much. I seriously doubt New Gods or anything else is being directed by Miller, frankly he is too good for this stuff. Yeah, it's time for a Babe reboot. The little uptick in comic book movie stature achieved by Nolan has been entirely diminished by a whole lot of bad movies. The best live action comic book movie otherwise was Mad Max. Of course. And stuff like Olympus/London/Nantucket/Sri Lanka Has Fallen, and all those Bourne flicks, is ART. Real ART.

I really enjoyed the GL film...never understood the hatred. Nice score, as well.
