GAME OF THRONES---HBO released a preview of Episode 7.

Preview link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq-97rH6P_8

JAMES BOND---rumors claim Tom Hiddleston is in "advanced negotiations" to replace Daniel Craig as 007 according to "sources close to" Hiddleston.
Director Sam Mendes commented on Craig's possible successor, "It's not a democracy. [producer] Barbara Broccoli decides who is going to be the next Bond, end of story...I can guarantee whatever happens with it, it will not be what you expect. That’s what she’s been brilliant at, and that’s how it’ll survive."
Mendes also reaffirmed he's not returning to the Bond franchise, "It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it. But I think it's time for somebody else."

GHOSTBUSTERS---Melissa McCarthy commented on the intense negative reaction to the reboot movie, its trailers and photos, "All those comments - 'You're ruining my childhood!' I mean, really...Four women doing any movie on earth will destroy your childhood? I have a visual of those people not having a [my husband] Ben, not having friends, so they're just sitting there and spewing hate into this fake world of the internet. I just hope they find a friend."
Director Paul Feig added, "The first wave when you make an announcement like that is overwhelmingly positive. Everyone's so happy and you're like, this is great. Then comes the second wave and you're like, Oh my God. Some of the most vile, misogynistic sh-- I've ever seen in my life."

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---Jeremy Irons commented on the "ruthless kicking" that the sequel received from movie critics, "Deservedly so. I mean it took $800 million, so the kicking didn't matter but it was sort of overstuffed... It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it's more linear."

JUSTICE LEAGUE---Jesse Eisenberg hinted he might return as Lex Luthor, "I don't know what I'm allowed to say, because I feel like there's probably some drone following me from DC, and if I say anything wrong I get, you know, picked off. But yeah I think so..."

KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE---Jeff Bridges confirmed he's co-starring in the sequel in an undisclosed role.

GODLESS---Jeff Daniels and Scoot McNairy are in talks to co-star with Jack O'Connell in this Netflix Western set in an 1800s New Mexico mining town run by women. A wounded outlaw seeks refuge in the town while he is pursued by his ex-gang members.

A show about a town run by women. So far, only 3 men have been cast. Weird.

No, it looks cringe worthy. Unfunny, unoriginal cynical cash grab on nostalgia.

Those are pretty much my feelings on INDEPENDENCE DAY: REGURGITATION...and it seems to be getting a pass. Go figure.

So did Jurassic World and Force Awakens. Though I gave neither of those a "pass".

Mrs McCarthy and Mr Feig, I'm sorry, but the trailers suck. Everything many were afraid of is show to be true in the trailers. The movie looks LOUD and crude. Truly awful. If the movie turns out great, hey, that'll be a good thing. But the movie looks like... partial quote ... "Some of the most vile shit I've ever seen in my life."

And, actually, after the movie was announced, there was NO overwhelmingly positive first wave. Whatever you're smoking, may I have some please? big grin
