Just thought I'd check some samples for Varese's new "Of Mind And Music" release to see if I liked it, considering I really like the existing two Carlos Jose Alvarez CDs that I've got ("Discover The Gift" and "Deadline").

There weren't any samples, so I went onto Youtube and searched for "carlos jose alvarez of mind" and up popped a soundtrack preview for a film called "Exposed" by him which I'd not heard of before. Listened to that instead, and liked it.

Followed the link to Lakeshore Records website to find out more about it, but it wasn't displayed on their front page (their only page?) and couldn't find a search function. Searched Amazon instead, but no CD just a digital download. Oh well, never mind.

Anyway, I did notice that the Lakeshore webpage had "The Cave" listed, and I quite like that movie so thought I'd click on it to find out who the composer was and see if there were any samples. However, clicking on "The Cave" cover took me to an iTunes webpage for something called "Soca Rumble In the Cave" instead!

So now I've spent 5 minutes getting frustrated and decided to give up and go back downstairs and carry on watching the film I was halfway through instead of spending any money on new music.

Sorry, just had to get that little rant off my chest...
