I'm a little confused by this. It's not a recording of a concert, but previous released studio cuts.

So where was this Superman TAS suite originally sourced from? The LaLaLand set? Some Varese album I don't know about?

This is definitely the weirdest compilation album I've seen in a while.

The cover and title is pretty goddamn misleading. I'm pretty shocked this passed muster.

Judging by the description on the website, and especially for the other CD (the 2015 one), I'm going to GUESS that this is actually not a Varese-produced CD, and meant to be a sampler CD to promote the concert....in Poland. For some reason they decided to release it worldwide and partnered with Varese to do it?
Just speculation really...

I'm very confused by this tooo. so this is the Krakow 2016 film music festival CD, yes it does not contain any music from the Krakow festival 2016 festival? has this been done before?

it would be like a rock band like The rolling Stones putting out an album from a concert they performed at with photos from the concert yet the versions f the songs are not from the concert, but the studio albums that were already put out and available.

also I have to say if someone would stumble upon this no where on the packaging does it say on the cd package front or back that these tracks are from previous albums and are not the live versions. someone would pick this up thinking these are live recordins and their not. very strange indeed. I just don't get it, but I love varese and all that they do, but I think it may skip this one and the 2015 one.

Why are people getting so riled up?

This seems like a perfectly legitimate album to me. The album contains music from guests and composers at this year's Krakow festival. Not the actual concert performances, but the music from the original soundtracks, culled from the Varese vault.

Nothing wrong with that. I know that Robert loves the festival, and this was his way of honouring it (and also a great promotional item).

It is indeed an odd way to celebrate the concert, but it's kind of a sampler album that almost previews what you might hear in concert. I'm also very curious about that "Superman: TAS" track and where it originates from?

To all our fans that have purchased either Starship Troopers or Joe vs The Volcano, we regret to announce the discovery of a manufacturing defect that is affecting the audio quality of one track on each disc. Varese has ordered an immediate repressing and expect to be shipping new albums before the end of the month. If you receive a defective disc in the mail, know that you do not need to return it, and a replacement is forthcoming. We apologize immensely and thank you for your patience. We hope you maintain your excitement for these tremendous bodies of work!

Are you posting this here as well because this release is also included in the pressing glitches? My disc glitches out at that same 25 second mark.

Finally got my copy of this album today (it was bundled with the repressed STARSHIP TROOPERS) and I thought I'd take the opportunity to address a few lingering questions...

First, I don't know if this album was among the releases affected by the pressing error and redone, but I did not detect any glitches during the first track.

Second, the suite from SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES is NOT simply edited together from the La-La Land Records release! It's a completely different arrangement and recording -- unreleased until now, so far as I am aware. The orchestra is not credited, so I couldn't tell you precisely where it came from. It doesn't sound like a live concert recording -- no audience noise, applause, etc. It's a cool thing to have, and the main reason I pre-ordered the disc, so I'm pretty pleased! And hopefully it will prompt a few people to acquire the LLL set.

Hey, Wedge. Look at my comment just before yours...I had the same thing happen. Same glitch.

Yes, because this is a track from FMF in Krakow - the world premiere of Superman suite, which have been ordered especially for this concert.
