FRIDAY, MAY 20

JAMES BOND---the BBC said tabloid reports that Daniel Craig rejected a $100 million salary for two more Bond movies are false. The BBC's own "separate, authorized Bond sources" said, "No decision is likely to be made for a while." The tabloid report claimed the $100 million offer included, "endorsements, profit shares, and a role for him working as a co-producer".

THE DARK TOWER---Stephen King posted a cryptic message and a photo about the movie.

"The Dark Tower is close, now. The Crimson King awaits. Soon Roland will raise the Horn of Eld. And blow."

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING---Michael Keaton has returned to talks about playing the reboot movie's main villain which is reported to be The Vulture. Also, he will be assisted by another villain, The Tinkerer, who will “help him build his suit with recovered Chitauri tech from the Battle of New York.”

X-MEN---the contracts of Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbinder and James McAvoy expire with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Lawrence was asked if she would return for another X-Men movie, "Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking. Like, 'Will you come back?' 'I dunno.' 'I'll come back, if you come back.' Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn't come back, none of us are."
Lawrence added, "I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don't know. I shouldn't be that honest."

THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE---showrunner Frank Spotnitz has left the series after clashes with Amazon over production issues. The series, which was in the middle of filming Season 2 when Spotnitz left, went on hiatus which could last up to two weeks. No successor was named, and the current production team will fill in for Spotnitz.

FAST 8---photo released of Charlize Theron as the lead villain in the sequel. Also, Vin Diesel wants director Justin Lin to return for the FAST 10 sequel which premieres on April 19, 2019, “I’m going to bring him back. Whenever we had a day off—even on Thanksgiving, his favorite holiday—it was Justin and me working on how far we could take it. Success comes from 10 years of that mentality.”

GAME OF THRONES---HBO released descriptions for Episodes 6 and 7.

Episode 6---“An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce).”
Episode 7---“The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.”

ALIEN: COVENANT---Michael Fassbender said COVENANT will return to the dirty look of the original movie instead of the glossy look of PROMETHEUS, "There's an old-school element where things look used and battered, like the original 'Star Wars'."
He said the sequel will use "NASA-style technology" like the old spacesuit of the original movie. Fassbender also said his character, David the android, is, "creepy... and he's back in a whole new way".

SHERLOCK HOLMES 3---producer Joel Silver said the third movie is underway, "It looks like it could happen this fall. Downey said he wants to do it. He's gotta launch into another 'Avengers' movie right after the new year. So we're trying to get it done. We have a script that we like. [Jude Law] is available and Downey is available, and we're hoping we can get it done." He added, "I hope [it's not the last one]. I don't think so."

DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW---executive producer Marc Guggenheim gave a sneak preview about Season 2's villain, "The season two big bad is actually not going to be the [alien race of] Thanagarians. It's going to be something else entirely. All I'll really say about the nemesis in season two is Vandal Savage looks like a walk in the park compared to what the Legends will be facing. This will be a much, much bigger threat. I'm going to leave it at that because when we do reveal it, it's going to be pretty big. People will be asking, 'Vandal who?' once they get the full picture of what our team is up against. It's going to be way bigger than what you can even imagine, I can guarantee it."

FUTURE WORLD---Lucy Liu and Snoop Dog will co-star with Milla Jovovich and James Franco in the post-apocalyptic movie.

BLACK PANTHER---John Boyega's representative denied rumors Boyega will be in the superhero movie.

GREY"S ANATOMY---Sara Ramirez announced she's not returning to the series for Season 13.
