Don't believe all the negative reviews of this film. It's much better than Force Awakens or Jurassic World which the masses fell all over. It's amazing the sheep mentality ppl have over hating one particular film, while swooning over other lessor films.
Warcraft is very well directed, it has awesome art design, (other than a few minor things I didn't like) good acting, and very high production values. The Orc characters and plight was particularly engaging. Is the film without faults? No. The plot is a bit fantasy film generic. But I was entertained for two solid hours. I hear 40 minutes were cut from this film. I have a feeling it would improve greatly in expanded form. Because the human drama seems short changed in the theatrical cut.
Not really a fan of Djawadi's scores. But this one is pretty good. The action music as usual in blockbuster films was rather generic. But there are some nice underlying themes in other sections of the score.
BTW, I know nothing about the game so it was a bit confusing. Though I'm now very interested in this directors other work.

Says the guy who came out guns blazing against John Carter without even seeing it.

But I eventually saw it on the Spanish Channel (Telemundo?) and my critique remains the same for that film.

Which makes me very sceptical of your praise for WARCRAFT.
Then again, I loved THE FORCE AWAKENS and JURASSIC WORLD. So maybe we just don´t like the same things.

Warcraft wasn't the greatest film ever, nor did it rock my world. But it was solidly entertaining.
I'll put it this way. Objectively speaking if someone liked Force Awakens and Jurassic World they should like this film equally as well. Subjectively I liked Warcraft a lot more than those other two films.
That was my initial impression on the main titles... which still holds true for that track to a certain degree. But on the whole, I stand corrected, the score is much more interesting than I thought it to be. Especially the instrumentation is sometimes very nicely evoking fantasy settings (-> Honor). Jonathan Broxton's review is spot on btw.
