When a GyroSphere is rolling around in the forest, how does the glass stay clean? Is there even a theory as to how this thing works without getting all mud-streaked and grass-stained?

There are two ways of looking at this:

One: They'd have covered it in some revolutionary hyperhydrophobic coating that repels water, chlorophyll and dinoshite

Two: It's only a story

This is one of those classic 'there's no way that spaceship could fit through there' questions!
Dinosaurs running wild!? No problem.
But HOW DO they keep that glass clean? wink

I think the spotless glass rolling around in the dirt makes it look fake, like it can only be CGI. It takes me out of the film.

The human hamster ball has all kinds of problems. I imagine dino soccer is really poplar on JW.

On that point, I thought glass that can stop a 50 caliber bullet ought to stop the average Indominus rex claw with ease.

Although super "phobic" compounds exist, the point is that the spotless hamster ball still looks fake to contemporary eyes. Models with nurnies and aztecking give the eye something to judge scale. So while the STAR TREK Enterprise is supposed to look seamless and unearthly, the big screen modelers added detailed plating.

Once we've had time to adjust to smear-proof car windows and the like, the hamster ball will begin to look more credible to everyday eyes.

Wouldn't a super-phobic surface have low (or no) friction, so dirt would fall right off? But the ball itself is the vehicle's wheel, which needs traction to make it go.

Another thing is that the ball appears to be sealed up all around. How do they manage to ventilate it, let alone keep it cool against the greenhouse effect?

My problem with that scene wasn't the hamster ball, but the goofy Jimmy Fallon video on the display. Felt at odds with the tone and a little too self-conscious. Also, it's one of the scenes that TRULY had the potential to nurture some of the "awe and wonder" elements of the preceding films, but neither that nor any other scene managed to take its time for that. It's one of the features that were sorely missing in the film.

I kinda like it as a 'creature feature', but it really betrayed some of the basic ingredients that made the first three films (and especially the first) so great -- the seamless ebb and flow between wonder and inventive action setpieces.

I really liked this film, more than THE FORCE AWAKENS, I think it's the best JURASSIC PARK sequel. It has my favorite scene of the franchise, the T-Rex I-Rex fight. I really like how they made amends for the spinosaur killing the T-Rex in JURASSIC PARK III and show great respect to the T-Rex. I also like how the T-Rex smashes through the spinosaur skeleton, which to me seems like an apology for JPIII. You can probably tell I don't like part III very much, it's my least favorite of all the films. JURASSIC WORLD isn't perfect, but I really like it!smile

Two: It's only a story

I think if more people were able to view movies with this ingrained, the discourse about film would be much better.

I think the Nostalgia Critic nailed this one. It wasn't silly enough to be appreciated as a dumb "B" movie, and it wasn't good enough to be taken seriously.

Idk I didn't have any of the problems with it that others mention. Nothing really stood out to me as terrible or impossible. I simply enjoyed it for the ride and thought it was well done.
