I loved, loved, loved the scene at the end with "I'm looking over a four leaf clover" by Mitch Miller. They could have not bothered with it at all or came up some crappy new rendition, but they didn't do that. They used IMO the best version of that song.

What a really pleasant surprise! (Especially on a show where music is not its best aspect.)

Thoughts?

I read the first two words of this before I realized the post may contain a spoiler, so I threw my eyes away.

Please do warn us if you have spoilers, as some of us are following the show (but live in countries where it airs later).

I would never spoil a show or movie without a warning. By the way, are you familiar with Mitch Miller?

Ah, you're right. I see now that there is no spoiler in your post.

No, I'm not familiar with Mitch Miller, unfortunately. So I guess the new GOTHAM episode will be my first exposure.

I always though Mitch Miller looked like a balding werewolf.

I really enjoyed the episode. I liked the way they teased the intro of the Mad Hatter. And B.D. Wong as Hugo Strange seems to be really relishing playing a mustache-twirling villain.

I see this expression sometimes "mustache-twirling villain". I'm not sure where it comes from or how a mustache relates to the Villian. Is this a British expression?

Back in the days of silent movies, the stereotypical villain had a long mustache, top hat and cape and would literally twirl his mustache as he plotted his evil deeds.
