Yes, this is very cool. Been following the progress on and off over the last year. Can't wait to see it finished. Though I don't like where their going to put it. Will this iconic ship ever get the full respect it deserves?
I'm not sure it's going to be put where it should be within the Smithsonian, but it's certainly couldn't be in a better place.
Yes, I'm cool with it being in the Smithsonian. From what I read (and it could be incorrect information), the Enterprise is going to be in front of a gigantic painted mural of Nasa's Moon landing(s). Beautiful mural, but it's way to busy of a backdrop for the studio model.

Agreed. But I would prefer a simple background. A plain black backdrop with pin lit stars. Just as we saw her in the television series.
