Apart from John Blankenship and Basil Poledouris in Star Trek, it looks like it's been a frugal month for all. Let me remedy that. I realised that the last time I bought a CD was in November last year! Why was I going all austere? So I felt the urge to splurge. And so I ordered the following -
LOST IN SPACE Vol 1 (Johnny W) - All Johnny here on this one. Should be good.
LOST IN SPACE Vol 2 (Mostly Sandy Courage and Joe Mullendore) - Expecting a lot of silliness on this one, as it backs episodes about giant carrots etc, but as I already have Vol 3 and I've just ordered Vol 1, I didn't want to not have Vol 2. Completist consumerist numbskull bottlecap mentality. I wonder if I'll get the 10-CD box set next.
BREAKHEART PASS (Jerry G) - Saw it on the telly, remember some good bits of JG, bought it. But it's still a kind of blind buy, coz I'm not very familiar with it apart from the theme. But it's from around the time JG was good, and Charles Bronson on a train makes room for possibilites.
DRAGONSLAYER (Alex North) - Sometimes I simply love playing Russian Roulette (except when I shoot myself in the head and die), and this is one such case. Saw the film years ago, don't recall the score, but have read on this board that it's terrible. But I love Alex North, so I took the plunge without even seeking out sound samples or YouTube bits. That's part of the excitement. It's like getting an LP in "a shop" again. Oh, and it wasn't expensive, so if it turns out to be as terrible as some people say, I won't have died with a bullet through the head, I'll just have shot myself in the foot.
