I guess this question is aimed directly at Bruce.....
I've noticed on these Fox Box reissues that Herrmann's name is BARELY READABLE at the bottom of the cover! So I have to ask... are you "selling" the movie, or the score? I guess you know what I mean by "selling"!
Oh well... lunch break is over!

I'm going to take the liberty of answering for Bruce, though I'm sure he'll chime in here when he has a moment: It's my assumption, based on other things Bruce and other producers have said about the size of cover art graphics and the way they're written, that the studio dictates this. Is that correct, Bruce?

Given that these discs are sold online, and not (as in the old days) to people flipping through covers, I don't really think the cover art is selling anything.

I've always thought it surprising that composers are never listed on the spines of Kritzerland CDs. It may seem like a minor thing, but to me it's like a omitting the author's name from the spine of a book..!

Wow. It never even struck me that either of these things would be an issue.

I mean, I like to see composer credited, but whether his name is in big print or small, or on the spine or not, it's never really struck me as an issue.

First world problems, eh.

I realize it's negligible in the scheme of things, but it just strikes me as odd. I can't think of another soundtrack label (or for that matter, any record label in general) that omits an artist/composer credit on the spine.
