More likely they were looking for "gladiator" music in a production library where the Stein library happens to reside, so the composer or film were irrelevant. What's impressive is anyone recognizing the cue. But that's the all-knowing ear of The Jim Doherty for you.

Anyway, as somebody else pointed out, there are people whose job it is to find music every day. I'm sure the creative directors and the client were presented with fifty possibilities.
