I still crave the Slaughter High theme now and then. I also love Friday the 13th Part 3's theme, but I don't want to buy the La La Land box set just for that. xS

any label got any think going on. a box set of house been a long time no other music is available real shame thought there might of been a project by now after the Friday the 13th box set. some one needs to release these there classics. Aren't there only two House films? Not sure if that warrants a Boxset. They were both paired on CD from Varese. Maybe a rerelease, but not a box. There are 4 (debatably), all by Manfredini. "The Horror Show" was developed as part 3 (and released as such overseas). And then there's a "House IV", where they kill off William Katt right out the gate. I've never seen either, but I wonder if the the scores for them are good? I love the Varese cd with part 1 and 2.

Most of the labels have indicated that box sets are a thing of the past unless they're certain it's a sure sale. House is not likely a candidate.

Intrada's latest Ten Commandments is of course a no brainer for a box set and I hope it sells great, but a House box set, nah. I'd be the first to buy it, but yah this wouldn't be a good idea sadly.

I differ on that the Varese house cd all way's go's for good money ever seen 1 for a few bucks.? horror all way's doe's well better than most I think a box set would sell out quickly. maybe a little investigating in the horror department thanks. The CD commands high prices due to it being out of print, an early Varese title out of print. Manfredini has a following due to the Friday The 13th scores, but my guess is those are really the only scores of his with a large following. I do enjoy his Deep Star Six score ( which is fun although it's full of temp score love ) and it also has a high price on Amazon or Ebay, yet there's no clamor to have it re-issued. Nothing against Manfredini, but the score usually ( not always ) should be connected to a franchise that has at least a bit of visibility. The House horror movies - they may be good or bad - just don't have a large following. The first film was lots of fun, but it never connected with a broader fanbase over the years as , let's say, the original Fright Night. It seemed to be fairly successful for a lower budget film, but over the decades... it well, ya know. The later movies, and it's a surprise to find there were four in total, do not register across a large demographic. Ask people at random if they're familiar with Fright Night. Maybe half would recognize it. Ask them about House, and you'd get either references to the TV series, or lots a blank stares. Horror fans would know it, but not enough horror fans. And you can be assured that DMD and the folks at Varese ( and all the other soundtrack labels ) pretty much know what is a viable release and what isn't a viable release .
