My brother loves it, but then again he loves Evangelion and its music, and everything Anno does. He was amazed and laughing when he heard this theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXNNAFwogP8 being a copy to Evangelion's Decisive Battle. One cannot deny that Shiro has literally autotuned himself for this score though.

worst score of the year contender.bad sound ikufube, synth evangelion, mediocre everything else.a bad joke.

You kidding? And if this mediocre, what is not? Another shit from RCP composers? Or maybe music from many of modern western composers?

Bad sound of Ifukube music and using material of Evangelion it's, mayby, not good, but other tracks like Fob_01, Black Angles, Defeat Is No Option and other orchestral tracks are realy great.
But of course every man to his own taste, so it's your opinion, but don forget writing IMHO.

Me likes! Aside from the already mentioned shortcomings (re-use of Ifukube tracks, re-use of material from Evangelion (which doesn't matter to me anyway, since I don't know Evangelion *g*), it's yet another new page on the Godzilla (music) franchise. Comparing to the Legendary Godzilla, it's a (partly) bold entry in the series. Can't wait to see the movie smile

Having seen the movie twice now, I gotta say, Toho still is King of all (movie) things Godzilla. The movie is a bit on the "chatty" side (lots of talking) but when Godzilla is on, it ROCKS! But I like the movie not only for Shin-Godzilla. Camera work, edit, all is fine and has a forward momentum. And the music is great - the old Ifukube tracks ties this movie sonically to the original Godzilla, which is just fine. And I really dig the Sagisu tracks. In the movie as well as on CD.
Can't wait to get the movie on Bluray smile
