Snowy seventies western. Unusual soundtrack.

Anti-western, I think you mean. American anti-western. Otherwise, very eloquent.

(Speaking of which, have you ever seen the actor's Dick?)

I know - terrible film, but decent prosthetics and a good Elfman score.

Thankfully no.
I understand it popped up everywhere and drove people up the wall.

Luckily its not an italian western.
Coz they dont count.

However woody allen did say if he died he wanted to come back as WB's fingertips!!

Trav'ling lady, stay awhile
until the night is over.
I'm just a station on your way,
I know I'm not your lover.

Chickenhearted, I adore the gorgeous Richard Amsel poster art for this one.
I hope that's the one you'll be posting!

"I got poetry in me!"

It's silliness like that that makes me dislike improv in movies, of which this is surely an example.

Well…almost, Chickenhearted.
The large portraits of Beatty & Christie in the center were part of Richard Amsel's original masterpiece, as well as the typography at the bottom. However, some other "artist" bastardized all of the additional multicolored photos in this composition. I bet Amsel was pissed about this one!
Thanks for the effort, Chickenhearted.
Close…but no cigar!

Here's a British version of the MCabe and Mrs Miller movie (obvious due to the 'X' certificate) complete with cigar, and a note regarding Richard Amsel.

I have from the date of original release in the UK the newspaper adverts from London and elsewhere in England. Will look to see in my collection during the coming week if the cigar is a feature of any of them.
